Neurofeedback is not your average one-on-one therapy session, and therefore doesn’t accomplish as much as traditional therapy would. It accomplishes more! A non-invasive treatment with no side effects or pain, neurofeedback can be likened to taking your brain to the gym. The brain is like a muscle that can be strengthened over time to achieve more optimal results. And like a gym, the neurofeedback process provides different “weights” we can use to train our brain.
We all are unique and have issues of one kind or another. Some of us have weak arms and some weak legs. Others have trouble concentrating or staying still, like children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Now, for the first time, there is hope. For instance, children with learning disabilities ranging from ADHD, Adjustment Disorder and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) to Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD), greatly improve their ability to perform in school, develop relationships with friends, grow their relationships at home, and most importantly improve their own happiness and quality of life through neurofeedback.
NCFII provides EEG’s, neurofeedback training, neuropsychological services to our clients and is one of the first facilities to combine this treatment approach with contemporary counseling/psychotherapy services. We are a non-profit organization and strive to make our services affordable to those who are in desperate need of help. We work mainly a range of ages including families, children, adolescents and young adults, but also welcome older adults desiring to benefit from neurofeedback. We take a wholistic approach and work WITH the individual not ON the individual.
